The City of Webster City proudly announces the launch of its new online Permit Center, streamlining the construction and development process for residents and businesses alike.

This innovative platform is part of the City’s commitment to providing efficient, user-friendly services and is designed as a one-stop shop, offering comprehensive online resources and services. The new Permit Center simplifies every step – from application to close out – ensuring that each project aligns with established construction standards and public safety measures.

“In embracing this new online permit process, we’re not only streamlining the process but also making it more accessible and convenient,” said Ariel Bertran, Community Development Director.

Key features of the new Permit Center include:

  1. All-Digital Application and Review: Applicants can now submit all plans and documents digitally via the VIP Portal, ensuring a faster and more eco-friendly process.
  2. Personalized Portal Access: Applicants can create their own portal in the Permit Center, allowing them to submit, track, and manage their applications online.
  3. Email Notifications: Stay updated at every step with automatic email notifications, making the process transparent and straightforward.
  4. Online Payments: Securely pay all fees online through the personalized portal, saving time and resources.

“While we continue to offer in-person services, this digital leap marks a significant advancement in how we handle construction and development permits,” added Bertan. “It’s about adapting to the needs of our community and setting a standard for efficiency and convenience.”
