All swimmers need to wear a regulation swimsuit. T-shirts over the suit, cutoffs, street shorts, cutoff sweatpants, etc., are not allowed. Any child who is not toilet trained is required to wear a special swimming diaper under their swimsuit. These swimming diapers are available for sale at the front desk. Non-swimming adults or spectators in street clothes will be allowed to sit in the pool area for $1.50.
Summer Season Swim Passes are available for purchase at Fuller Hall until the outdoor pool opens. Once the pool opens they will only be sold at the outdoor pool. Family passes include immediate family members only.
The outdoor pool is equipped with showers, restrooms, and electrical outlets. Lockers are not available. Customers are encouraged to use the office bag room to secure personal belongings. The Recreation & Public Grounds Department is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
Deep Water Patch
Patrons under 18 years of age are required to show the ability to tread water for 30 seconds, swim the crawl stroke with rhythmic breathing across the length and back, then tread water for another 30 seconds before being allowed to swim in the designated deep water area. If you received your patch last season, you can just purchase the patch this summer without taking the test.
The pool may be closed for any of the following reasons: inclement weather, swim meet, mechanical breakdown, low air temperature, low water temperature, low participation, or schedule changes. Persons are encouraged to call in advance before going to the pool or check the Fuller Hall Recreation Center’s Facebook page.
A complete list of rules can be seen at the outdoor pool or Fuller Hall Recreation Center office.
