The Webster City Police Department is notifying everyone that the 600 block of Second Street will be closed to vehicle traffic effective today, December 1, 2023 until further notice. Barricades will be set up on Second Street between Des Moines Street and Willson Avenue to protect the public, those assessing the damage to the buildings as well as those cleaning up the damage from vehicle traffic.
Public wanting to support the businesses in the 600 block will have to park on Des Moines Street, Willson Avenue or in the north alley of Second Street in the City parking lot. The police department understands the impact this closure will have on the community, especially during the holiday season but we are confident if everyone works together things will be back to normal as soon as possible.
