The Webster City Police Department is again holding its annual BLUE Christmas program for families in need so that everyone can have a happy holiday season.

“BLUE — Blue Light Uniformed Events — has been in operation for the last several years and has successfully spread the holiday cheer with the help of our community.” Webster City Police Chief Shiloh Mork said in a media release.

“The Webster City Police Department will be accepting donations to purchase gifts for local students as part of the BLUE Christmas event. Members of the police department will be shopping for the kids, collecting items on their lists, and hosting a Christmas party for all of the recipients and their families. This is a time to enjoy one another’s company and make everyone’s holidays a little brighter.

“The Webster City Police Department would like to give a special thanks in advance to all who have donated to make this event so successful each year,” Mork said.

If you would like to make a contribution to this event, monetary donations can be dropped off at the Webster City Police Department or the Webster City Utility Office drop box, both located at City Hall, 400 Second St., Webster City.

Donations can also be mailed to: Webster City Police Department/BLUE Program, 400 Second Street/P.O. Box 217, Webster City, IA 50595.
