It’s that time of year, it’s getting colder and the smell of turkey is almost in the air! That means Christmas is right around the corner and there are several local families in need. The Webster City Police Department is again holding its annual BLUE Christmas program for those families in need so that everyone can have a happy holiday season. B.L.U.E. (Blue Light Uniformed Events) has been in operations for the last several years and has successfully spread the holiday cheer with the help of our community.
The Webster City Police Department will be accepting donations to purchase gifts for local students as part of the BLUE Christmas event. Members of the police department will be shopping for the kids, collecting items on their lists, and hosting a Christmas party for all of the recipients and their families. This is a time to enjoy one another’s company and make everyone’s holidays a little brighter.
If you would like to make a contribution to this event, monetary donations can be dropped off at the Webster City Police Department or the Webster City Utility Office drop box. In addition, donations can be mailed to the following address:
