Extended Vacations

If you are planning an extended vacation, or spend your winters in the south, you will need to contact the Utility Office to have the water meter strapped off by our meter technician to discontinue the water and sewer base service rates while you are gone.

You will need to set this time up with the Utility Office and pay the $30.00 charge before the strap off is done. This does not get added to the bill. The Meter Technician will need to access the inside of your home to strap the water meter.

If your mailing address needs to be updated while you are gone, contact the Utility Office at 515-832-9141 to make that change and to change it back upon your return.
