With the start of the new school year quickly approaching, the Webster City Police Department wants to make the community aware of changes to the drop off and pick up procedures at Pleasant View School. These changes are due to road construction and the closing of Brewer Street and Willson Avenue south of the school.
Traffic to the school drop off location must approach from Pleasant Street. All incoming traffic will travel west on Pleasant Street and turn south onto Willson Avenue. Vehicles will be routed through the parking lot for drop off and pick up. Outgoing traffic will exit the parking lot and travel north on Willson Avenue to Ohio Street. A map has been attached to help understand the changes.
Traffic will not be allowed to travel south on Willson Avenue from Ohio Street to Pleasant Street. This is to ensure the safety of students and staff. Traffic will not be allowed to travel east on Pleasant Street from Willson Avenue during these times. Cones will be in place to direct traffic along with school staff and officers.
We are asking that people not park along Pleasant Street during drop off and pickup times to reduce congestion and visibility issues. Also, we are asking that vehicles not park on Willson Avenue, north from Pleasant Street to Ohio Street to reduce congestion and visibility issues.
These changes will be in effect until the road construction project is complete. The police department greatly appreciates everyone’s assistance and patience during this time.
