- Approved an amendment to add an outdoor service area requested by Wildcat Distributing Co. from May 1 to October 31, 2024;
- Approved a five-day class C retail alcohol license for Iowa Bar Bus to appear at the annual Junquefest event scheduled for May 21-25 at Hamilton County Fairgrounds;
- Approved a one-year lease with Travis Wearda for purpose of farming 189.20 acres of city-owned land in the Sahai Addition and Sahai Second Addition, and 5.19 acres in the Kurtz Addition at a total cash rent of $31,697.50;
- Set a public hearing to review and approve two separate bid contracts pertaining to construction of Reisner Substation. The hearing is scheduled for 6:05 p.m., on May 18 at City Hall;
- Set a public hearing to discuss plans, specifications, form of contract, and cost estimates for the 2022 electrical underground conversion project — the East Side Conversion Project. The project must be re-bid as supply chain considerations have improved since the project was first announced in February 2022, during the Covid pandemic. It converts overhead electrical distribution to underground residential distribution, and is part of a 25-year plan to convert the entire city to such service. The hearing will be held June 17 at 6:05 p.m. at City Hall;
- Adopted a resolution setting the date of sale of water revenue bonds, series 2024. This includes approving a Preliminary Official Statement to facilitate sale of the bonds, and working with consultant Dorsey & Whitney, LLP, to advertise the bonds, as well as terms and conditions for their sale.;
- Authorized final payment to Doyle Construction, Fort Dodge, for its work on the Lincoln Drive reconstruction project, including acceptance of change order No. 5, which adds $3,625 to the total;
- Authorized the city manager to execute change order No. 1 for the Fair Meadow Drive reconstruction project. The change will add $8,060 to the expected project cost, for additional fittings and two days extra labor to route a water main below a storm sewer;
- Held a first reading of an ordinance amending the Code of Ordinances of the City of Webster City which would place a new stop sign at the corner of Cedar and Grove streets, requiring traffic on Grove to stop at Cedar. The reason cited for the new signs are that speeding motorists have caused “numerous close calls” during morning drop-off, and afternoon pick-up of students at Sunset Elementary School;
- Amended terms of employment for the city clerk, setting the salary for that office at $62,192 per year retroactive to January 19, 2024.
