Today at approximately 0848 hours Webster City Fire Department responded to 1603 E. Second St. for a rescue call where a person was trapped in machinery. Van Diest Medical, WCPD, and Sheriff Departments all responded as well.
Upon arrival found a subject pinned in machinery. As Van Diest Medical personnel worked to stabilize the patient, Webster City Fire Department began stabilizing and preparing for extrication of the patient. Tony’s Tire was requested to use a large truck crane to support and lift the machinery.
The patient was then extricated by Webster City Fire Department Personnel and loaded into a life flight helicopter for rapid transport to the hospital. The patient appeared to be stable when leaving the scene.
