The Webster City City Council voted to waive the third reading of three proposed zoning changes Monday night after approving the second readings.
The three zoning ordinances were passed and adopted.
The ordinances will change the zoning in three sections of the community — along Superior Street and Edgewood Drive, which would change from C-3 highway business to R-1 single family dwelling; East Second Street which would change from A-1 agricultural to C-3 highway business; and James Street and Prospect Street which would move from R-2 multiple family dwelling to M-1, light industrial.
Councilman Logan Welch said the changes were a request from the Planning and Zoning Commission as a way to cleanup some zoning areas and to provide some consistency throughout the city.
