Today at 12:14 pm the Webster City Fire Department responded to 1136 Water St. for a possible structure fire. Engine 33 responded to the call and upon arrival, found a detached garage on fire. A fire attack group began making entry into the structure and began putting out the fire. The power was cut to the structure and the garage doors were opened to let the smoke ventilate out.
Ladder 31 and Rescue 35 also responded to the scene. A water supply was established, just in case there was need for it. The fire was under control in a matter of minutes. There was minor damage to the structure and its contents.
On scene WCFD Investigators found the area of origin, but no clear determination was made due to the extent of the fire. At this point the fire is under investigation. No injuries occurred and all units were released from the scene.
