Established in 2011, the Arts R Alive organization in Webster City is focused on:
• Enhancing the appearance of West Twin Park and the City of Webster City with the addition of sculptures;
• Promoting sculpture as a public art form;
• Highlighting sculpture that is displayed throughout the community;
• Showcasing local and regional artists through partnerships with other art and cultural interests in the city, region and state; and
• Expanding partnerships with other groups interested in public art mediums, such as street painting.
Each year the Arts R Alive Sculpture Committee proudly showcases works from local, regional, and Midwestern artists at West Twin Park in Webster City as part of a juried sculpture event held the first week in August. Stipends are awarded to the top 10 sculptures. A Street Painting fundraiser for the park is held the previous weekend.
