National Night Out

This annual community-building event promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer and a more caring place to live.

Featured this year are representatives from the Sheriff’s Office, Ellsworth-Jewell-Stanhope Police Department, Conservation officers, Webster City Fire Department, Webster City Police Department, Van Diest Medical Center, Iowa State Patrol, The Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation, Department of Natural Resources and Motor Vehicle Enforcement.

There will be a meal provided at no charge. Webster City Custom Meats is providing brats and Hy-Vee and Fareway will be assisting. Southfield Wellness Community is providing cookies and Casey’s will provide water and ice.

In addition, Availa Bank will provide a special dessert. 

The Cattlemen’s Association will provide the grill to cook the brats and hot dogs and the Stratford Stride will be doing the cooking.

In addition to the meal, the National Guard climbing wall will be available for kids to climb and there will be an old sheriff’s car on display. Greg Campbell of Ellsworth will provide a bouncy house for the event sponsored by WCF Financial Bank. Crime Stoppers will offer a Nickel Scramble for the kids.
