The Fair Meadow Drive Reconstruction Project begins Monday, April 15th
The first road closure will be installed. It will detour traffic around the north side of the Des Moines Street and Fair Meadow Drive intersection (click for map) to allow contractors to remove concrete and replace the water main.
This detour will remain in effect for roughly two weeks, weather-dependent.
Once the water infrastructure is replaced, the street will be poured back and open to traffic.
We'll share updates as they become available on our Facebook page. You can also sign up to receive messages directly from the City.
Graduate students in the School of Library & Information Science provided a framework for digitizing thousands of archived local historical records that currently exist only as print documents in Webster City’s Kendall Young Library.
UI students digitized approximately 175 documents from records held by the Kendall Young Library in Webster City, IA. With these documents, students created a system in Omeka by which records could easily be accessed by library patrons, preserving categorization systems already established by library staff and using metadata terminology that require no specialized vocabulary or knowledge. Included in their final report are instructions for library staff and volunteers to continue the process of digitizing records.
