February 11, 2022

At approximately 1458 hrs. on February 10, 2022, Webster City Fire Department was dispatched to assist Woolstock Fire Department on a residential fire that was believed to be in the kitchen on North White Fox Rd. WCFD responded with two apparatus and thirteen personnel.

Upon arrival, WCFD found smoke coming from a two-story single-family dwelling. WCFD conducted a 360, took White Fox command, then began fire attack, shut down the utilities, and conducted a search of all floors, finding no persons inside. Woolstock FD arrived on scene with additional personnel and assisted with fire attack, search and overhaul. A primary all clear was given on search.

The fire was quickly put under control. Ventilation was conducted to remove all the smoke from the structure, and overhaul was done to ensure no further hot spots. An investigation was conducted and was found to be inconclusive as to what started the fire, but the origin was found to be in the middle of the first floor. The damage to the structure was extensive including fire through two floors, and heavy smoke damage.

Once the fire was under control and overhauled, WCFD turned the scene back to Woolstock FD. All WCFD units cleared the scene. No injuries were noted.
