Grant to boost West Twin Parks projects

May 22, 2020

The City of Webster City recently was awarded a large grant which will be used for the East Twin Park Playground Project.

The grant from the Wellmark Foundation was awarded in the amount of $96,928. MIDAS Council of Governments assisted the city with the application for this grant. The project will provide the city an opportunity to revitalize their historic East Twin Park, which will include the installation of new ADA accessible recreation equipment as the city aims to provide more opportunities for activities for all residents.

“The City of Webster City greatly appreciates the affordable grant writing service provided by MIDAS,” said Lindsay Henderson, Webster City Community Vitality Director. “Their support provided the ability for us to maintain focus on all of our other projects, and the prompts from the MIDAS staff made it easier to collect and provide the information needed in time for the application deadline. The process was smooth, and clearly very successful. We are so excited to get started on our park revitalization project with a large boost from this Wellmark grant.”
