The Webster City Police Department will host a Christmas shopping event for local families as part of its Blue Light Uniformed Events or BLUE program.
The event will take place on Dec. 15, according to organizers. Several children will be paired up with police officers to go Christmas shopping at Shopko.
To make a contribution to the event, monetary donations will be accepted at the Webster City Police Department, 400 Second St..
The police department has taken part in the program for several years. Organizers offered thanks to community members and businesses who have donated to the program.
