Welcome to Webster City

Webster City is a beautiful city located along the Boone River in North Central Iowa. Webster City is the county seat of Hamilton County.

Located 10 miles from I-35, Webster City offers many aspects of small town life with the conveniences of larger towns. Webster City offers many quality parks,  a bicycle & walking trail, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, many fine churches, the Kendall Young Library, as well as a High School and Middle School, two public elementary schools and a parochial elementary school, and the Iowa Central Community College Campus.

Storm Debris Cleanup

The Tree and Brush Disposal Site is located on East Ohio Street by the Street Department Buildings and is available to citizens wishing to dispose of their storm debris.

 Contact City Hall at 832-9151 with questions and/or concerns.


 Final Reminder for Ash Tree Replacement Program 

The City of Webster City would like to remind all persons who have had an Ash Tree removed in the City right of way adjacent to their property there is a grant available to replace that tree.  Adjacent property owners should have received a letter from the City giving details.  If persons have any questions concerning this program please contact Kent Harfst at 832-9193 or email kent_harfst@webstercity.com

Snow Emergency Regulation Reminder
The City of Webster city wishes to remind residents of parking regulations during a declared snow emergency.  Vehicles must be removed from public streets before 8:00 a.m. and remain off the streets until both sides have been plowed.  More...
